Premier League fixture released: City’s title defense begins at Burnley

The Premier League fixture for season 23/24 has been released.

Manchester City will be seeking a record breaking fourth consecutive Premier League title.

City’s opening game sees Manchester City travel away to Burnley in a Friday night fixture on August 11. The first up trip sees City encounter club legend, Burnley manager Vincent Kompany again in the Burnley dug out.

City’s first home game will be August 19th against Eddie Howe’s Newcastle. Newcastle will no doubt be looking to back up from last seasons 4th place finish.

The first Manchester derby against arch rivals Manchester United is the 28th of October at Old Trafford. City welcome United for the second derby on March 2nd at the Etihad.

Manchester City face last season’s title challenger Arsenal on the 7th of October at the Emirates. City host Arsenal in the return fixture on March 30th at the Etihad.

As for modern day foe Liverpool, City face them on Saturday, November 25th at the Etihad and again on March 9th at Anfield. Liverpool will be looking to improve on last season and no doubt shape as a potential title challenger next season.

City’s final day fixture is a home game against West Ham. A fixture City have previously enjoyed securing the Premier League title with a 2-nil win over West Ham on the final day in season 2013/14.

With the 22/23 treble season just wrapping up, thoughts quickly turn to next season with the Premier League fixture release.
