Declan Rice linked to City

Declan Rice has been linked with a move to Manchester City.

David Ornstein of the Athletic reports that City are exploring their own approach for Rice.

The Daily Mail have also reported that Manchester City have emerged as a suitor for Rice.

It also goes on to add that West Ham have rejected Arsenal’s opening bid as it falls short of their £110 million valuation of the England international.

The Daily Mail adds to their report that West Ham are believed to be interested in what Manchester City may offer for Rice.

Declan Rice is in high demand after another outstanding season for West Ham.

Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Chelsea have previously been linked with the England international.

The West Ham skipper took West Ham to success in the UEFA Conference League.

Rice has been ever present for West Ham since making his debut at the end of the 2016/17 season.

He has gone on to make 245 appearances for West Ham over his career.

Rice is a key part of Gareth Southgate’s England squad. He has 41 England caps and contributed 3 goals.

Rice being linked with Manchester City continues the theme of a busy summer ahead for Manchester City.

Manchester City have been linked with Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic previously.

With the futures of several key players also up in the air the summer window appears to be a crucial one for Manchester City.
