Manchester City set for a busy summer

Manchester City are set for a busy summer. Several key players futures at the club will be on the agenda.

Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail is reporting that the future of City captain Ilkay Gundogan will be one of the first matters on the agenda.

Ilkay Gundogan is out of contract. His future will be one of the most crucial items on the summer agenda for Manchester City.

The City’s captains goals at the back end of the season were vital in Manchester City’s treble success.

Jack Gaughan also reports that talks with RB Leipzig over Josko Gvardiol will ramp up. Gaughan reports that RB Leipzig value the Croatian centre half at £85 million.

Aymeric Laporte’s future will also be on the agenda for Manchester City. Laporte has fallen down the pecking order at City this season.

A summer move for Laporte would pave the way for Gvardiol to join treble winners Manchester City.

Bernardo Silva’s future is another item on the agenda for Manchester City.

The annual summer question of will Bernardo stay or go looks set to continue. Bernardo didn’t give any hints of his future in interviews after the UEFA Champions League final.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also reported last week of Saudi club Al-Ahli interest in Riyad Mahrez. Another potential exit to watch for as the transfer window opens.

Mateo Kovacic move to Manchester City is a summer transfer story to watch.

As reported last week Manchester City have agreed personal terms with the Chelsea midfielder.

A fee is yet to be agreed between Manchester City and Chelsea. Talks were scheduled to pick up between the clubs following the Champions League final on Saturday.

Manchester City are set for a busy off season. With key players futures high on the agenda, the work for next season will begin early.
